Dear ,
Just when you thought it was safe to go out, we've mentioned the C-word.
Yes, sorry, we're thinking of Christmas already (in fact I've eaten three individual Christmas puddings already and have two more in the cupboard to keep me going). First off it's the 12 Scams of Christmas because...well, you know what scammers are like - they'll use any
excuse to steal your money off you, including Christmas.
|
| |
In fact, using another C-word, have you heard of the latest Covid Pass scam? A neighbour of mine sent round an email today telling everyone "I've just received an email saying I needed to get my Covid Pass which included a very official looking web address. I started to go through the process and was told I
needed to pay £4.99 for the pass. I carried on until I got to entering my bank details at which stage I became more than suspicious and quit the page." So beware of Christmas and Covid scams this season!
On a brighter note, we have a great article by MoneyMagpie Izzy that she put together in response to an email we had from Jenny, a lovely MoneyMagpie reader. Jenny said she has disabilities that force her to stay at home but that she would love to know of ways she could make money. We know a lot of people are in this situation so Izzy has come up with a host of ways you can make money from home, even if you're not too mobile.
Oh and have you signed up to my fortnightly Saturday newsletter yet? It's all about investing and it's for anyone who wants to get into making more money by investing their money but they don't know where to start. Sign up here and get my free eBook on how to start off as an investor.
And on that subject, check out the recording of a free webinar we did a couple of months ago all about how to invest in stocks and shares. I had some great experts there answering people's questions. We'll have some more free webinars coming up soon so keep checking our newsletter slots to find out more!
See you next week.
Love Jasmine :-)
