Hello ,
Did you hear the Queen's speech last week? Yes...dull, I know...but there was an interesting mention of saving cash for 'those who need it'. Kind of a good message for those of us who want to keep cash to save our liberties (that genuinely is the main reason that I want to save it) but I don't really think they mean it. There are too many vested interests in moving to a totally digital money system where 'they' (the
government or whoever are really in control) can monitor everything we earn and spend, stop us buying certain things and potentially grab some of our money if things go pear-shaped.
In fact, on the subject of digital control, tracking and loss of liberty, you'll be interested in a podcast I did with the amazing Maajid Nawaz which came out last week. We talked about the dangers of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), what the next form of money could be and how we need people who are
honest and unselfish to run our country...and the world! You might have listened to his LBC programme in the past - so check him out on Odysee here.

In the meantime, the cost of living squeeze is continuing to push the breath out of us all but at MoneyMagpie we are not taking it lying down! I can't tell you how many conversations we have within the team each week to find ways for you to save and, importantly, make money each week. It's essential for all of us and we get quite excited when we find some nice easy ways to get a few luxuries for
less...or free!
We also have lots of ways you can save money by sharing (including sharing your car which is what I do with a friend round the corner - she has a car and I don't so, I hire her's for the day any time I need one). And an IG Live I did recently on how to make your food go further. Take a look!
Ooh, and if you're wanting to dip your toe into investing do listen to a fun podcast I did with Sam North of eToro (one of our sponsors) all about how to invest the easy way...including investing by copying (I do it - it's rather cool!).
Love Jasmine
P.S. don't forget to sign up to our FREE webinar all about which cryptocurrency could become the next world currency...and therefore be worth investing in. It's on Thursday 26th May at 6pm and is entirely FREE (sponsored by eToro). Sign up here.
Ooh I love a freebie...because, well...

The government have declared war on financial fraud, promising to amend legislation which helps more victims reclaim money they have lost.
This legislation will push banks and service providers to reimburse those who fall victim to scams. Banks can currently choose whether or not to reimburse victims, however it remains voluntary.
