Hello , I hope you had a really good long weekend. I have to say, our late Queen did for us what I've been asking for for a few years now...she gave us an extra Autumn Bank Holiday. Her final gift to us. I've been arguing for a while that we need an extra Bank Holiday between August and Christmas as currently it's a Bank Holiday desert. Personally I think that something in November, maybe connected to Armistice Day, would work well. It would give us all a bit of a break for a day and give us the opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping which would help the shops. It's just a
thought but seriously I think it would work well for the country...and I'm an employer so I say this knowing it would cost me and other employers. Overall, though, I think it's good for the economy to have days off dotted through the year. |

But now, after ten days of wall-to-wall royalty, we are likely to be hit with a whole load of hard news including stuff that we should have heard about last week. It might all be a bit tough to take. So don't let it knock you off your perch. Remember that the media (and I blush to say this as I am part of the media) loves to
frighten and disturb you. We've seen over the last couple of years how it can spew out fear porn 24 hours a day. So take it all with equanimity and if you can't do that then simply switch the TV off, throw the papers away, block out social media and live your life the best you know how until you're feeling strong enough to withstand the onslaught again. "Your joy no man takes from you" said the Saviour and it's something we can all insist on every day. I certainly do! And speaking of
joy...in this week's newsletter we have for your delectation and delight, the £1,500 energy support fund, the best easy access savings accounts, how
you can get £5 from Amazon (they never usually give money away so grab this one!), how much you could save with solar panels and how to make money as a Virtual Assistant. We also have information on how you can make money from royal memorabilia in answer to queries from a couple of readers. Turns out
you can even sell old commemorative newspapers. Who knew? So here's to a new beginning, a new era, a time of change that we can embrace and look forward to saying "God save the King'. |

Make Money: Collecting Royal Memorabilia and Coins
|
We can see the gravitas of losing the Queen. if only for its rarity. It is therefore fair to
imagine that Friday’s newspapers may be worth something; our coins with QEII’s face on now won’t last forever, and our life and the things we took for granted until this point are about to change. While we cover the changes here, we take the time to explore what the potential value of current and past royal memorabilia may hold.
