Hello , This week we thought we would try something a bit different and I will chat to you instead of Jasmine. I am Vicky Parry, content chief here at MoneyMagpie. My background is as a multi- award winning journalist and founder of a
social enterprise that fights poverty. This background, plus running a successful creative agency in my twenties, puts you in very safe hands. At MoneyMagpie, all of the stories go through me and I come up with all our themes and concepts. I also put this newsletter together and pick all the things I think are the most helpful every week. There are some very exciting changes coming over the coming months that I am really desperate to share with you all, so I'm sure you will hear from me again.
I partly wanted to chat to you all today because advent is here, and while that is an exciting time for many (partly due to our AWESOME MoneyMagpie Advent Calendar which has so many cool giveaways and discounts - top secret but ... there is even a HOLIDAY one day), I also understand the
pressure advent can create for many of us to spend money we don't have. |
| |
Me and the gorgeous Magpie team are working round the clock to try and find you discounts, freebies and ways to save that valuable cash. However, we also want to remind you that the people who love you, love you for YOU: have a chat about what you can afford; share your time with loved ones. Nobody really wants you to put
yourself in debt to show that you care. Also, if you suffer from chronic illness, I see you and know how challenging this time can be on your energy. Don't write cheques (time) your body can't cash! These sort of hacks take none of the magic away. Mainly, I would like to say thank you all for reading the site, engaging and taking the time to share our stories this year. Each share and comment means that we can keep on providing this
service. Also, if you want any of the team (Jasmine included) to help guide you in any specific area, always get in touch and we will see what we can do. Thanks for reading and Jasmine will be back next week with some exciting news for the new year. Vicky (and Edgar) xxx |
