Hello , I am so excited! The sunshine and new daylight hours really are such a game-changer to mood, aren't they? Today is the first day this year I have managed to work from my garden and that really is a special feeling. I highly
recommend, if you don't have an outdoor space, heading to your local park and soaking up some vitamins. I for one am a new woman: just those extra vitamins have given me that little boost of energy to do some good over Easter. A lady in my village has been having a really rotten time of late, so I have been nipping her meals over. Whilst simply a case of cooking a bit extra, it really is no bother and it takes me nicely to my first
point. A recent study by Neighbourhood Network found that we can save up to £200 a year just by being a good neighbour. While the Covid pandemic opened up a sense of community never really seen before in my lifetime, as soon as the big red door to the world reopened, so many of us rejoined the rat-race,
forgot about the vulnerable and continued as before. |

I am quite an introverted person, so do understand the fear of being neighbourly. But I find that if you help each other out, the reassurance of someone being there really does outweigh any naughty head-goblins. It's not some pious, saintly act to be smug about either, as the door swings both ways. With a dreadful ankle injury last month, I
needed neighbours to help collect prescriptions etc. So while we are not recommending you bake a cake for your scary neighbour with twelve rotties, we are recommending that you at least get to know who lives around you. You may even be surprised... rotties are lush. Anyway, do we have some treats in store for you? Free cuppa? Check! Free meals (and under £1) this holiday? Check! Instant cashback on your purchases?
Check! We also have some great little earners for you. Make money listening to music? Sounds impossible, but we have found a way! We are checking who is eligible for the brand new cost of living Spring payment of £301? (it really is worth checking eligibility as you may be surprised). As the tax year ends on Thursday, we have added a handy little checklist at the bottom of this newsletter. We also have some amazing info on Bed and ISAs from our fab investment expert, Karl. One thing that really helped last week was that, following on from our Easter newsletter at the weekend, our lovely reader Arlene reminded us that using an oven during the current climate (energy billageddon) was maybe not very consumer friendly, so we took on her advice and added a slow cooker method to the recipe. This sort of feedback is always welcome, as we strive to offer the best tips we can. So, we really appreciated that, Arlene. From me and the entire MoneyMagpie team we hope you all get to enjoy the bank holidays this weekend and hope you have a fab Easter (if you celebrate
it). Vicky (Content Editor) xxx |

Get Instant Cashback on your Purchases
|
JamDoughnut is a cashback app with a difference. A difference that can make a big impact on your bank balance. Cashback sites are familiar to lots of us now, in fact so much so there’s an almost overwhelming amount to choose from. They all do what they say on the tin. They reward users with cash for doing their shopping or paying for services via the cashback site or app (often by using a referral link). But, usually we have to wait days or
weeks (sometimes even months), to get our rewards. With JamDoughnut you get your cash instantly – literally as soon as you confirm your purchase. How great is that? Here at MoneyMagpie we were so impressed that we decided to try it out for ourselves.
