Hello , Fancy a freebie? Good, because we've got some good ones for you today! |

I'm really thrilled to announce our partnership with Reader's Digest too - we're providing the money and investing content for their website, so take a look at what's happening over there
too. Speaking of which, have you been reading my Daily Mail column recently? I'm Miss Moneysaver and every Saturday I come up with a host of money-saving and money-making ideas, together with offers and daft ways to make a buck doing things you love. Take a look at the one from last Saturday which is all about one of my current bete noirs: annoying and unnecessary technology. Let's get back to analogue, I say! I am also excited to announce my Webinar with the fab people at Alliance Trust. "Increase my profits with an investment trust". Sign up here for the free
webinar. We also have a fascinating story from one of you lovely readers all about how she makes money for her emergency savings together with info from our friends at AJ Bell on why (and how) women should invest (a subject close to my heart). So pour yourself a cup of tea, grab a choccie biscuit and settle down for a jolly good, profitable read! Love Jasmine xx |

Why More Women Need to Invest
|
Women are less likely to invest than men. That’s a fact. Women will stick to cash, rather than choosing to invest, but they also put away less money each month, for a variety of reasons. On top of that, women save less in their pensions. All of this means that women have less wealth than men. We looked at the amount of money men and women have in their savings, pensions, investments and any other assets (but not their main house) and on average
men have £65,000 more stashed away. Once you extrapolate that across the population it means the gender investment gap is £1.65 trillion.

Chancellor Announces Help For Parents - But Will it Be What it Seems?
|
In his first budget, the Chancellor announced help for parents but nothing for low and middle earners. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt talked a lot about what the government has achieved while they’ve been in power. He also glossed over the decisions he had to make back in the Autumn when he was faced with the fallout from Kwasi Kwarteng’s take on the economy. Rather he focused on the Prime Minister’s five point plan.
