Hello , Hope you are well? Has anyone else noticed that October is now a huge "thing"? We are expected to decorate our homes, go to pumpkin patches, drink seasonal drinks and burn candles that smell like spice? Whilst all lovely things, they have
become rather high pressure spending habits. We, however, know that all of these things are simply to enjoy being cosy. The days are shorter, the Autumn telly is often brilliant - so let's enjoy that. I do get it. It is an exercise in being present and mindful of the beautiful Autumn leaves and change. It is a celebration of those smells that make our stomachs flip and transport us to childhood - but we don't need to break
the bank to do it. A tin of Heinz Tomato Soup and one of my dad's old jumpers creates exactly the same feeling. So don't worry and feel you are failing if you aren't flying out to Starbucks to celebrate October. Autumn cosies are perfect as they are. |

We also take a look at some very real ways to get some money with our October hardship grants, because whilst some people are worrying about keeping up with the Jones' over on socials, others are facing the very real fear that
they cannot pay their bills this winter. Basically we are here to welcome you into the Autumn. Please do let me know what help you will need this Autumn. Do you need to know how to dry clothes indoors and for cheap? Or, how to live on a tenner a week? Basically, any ideas
for things that could benefit you, let us know. Best Wishes, Vicky Parry Head of Content and Creative at moneymagpie.com xxxx |
