On October 29th it's National Pension Tracing Day, with an estimated value of lost pensions varying between £27bn and £65bn, which is an average of between £9,600 and £23,000 sitting unclaimed. Around 1 in 4 people think they have a missing pension but only 4% have tried to track it down. And what's more, while there are 2.8m “lost”
pensions, there are in fact a total of 21m lost accounts worth a whopping £78bn if you include bank accounts, shares, and other savings and investments (you can read our article about it here.) Don't be the kind of person who lets your money disappear - why not instead use the free service Gretel, who will track your money down for you. |
