...well it could be, couldn't it?
You don't know me personally (unless you're one of my lovely friends who I forced to sign up to the newsletter!). Admittedly you do see me in the media (like yesterday on ITV News) but then you see government ministers in the media all the time too and are they telling the truth? Hmmmmm!
Well I'm not lying to you - honest truth - and I do the very best I can to bring you the facts about important issues every week.

But a lot of people are lying to you. In fact there are international criminal corporations dedicating all their waking hours to scamming you out of your hard-earned cash. That's why Scams Awareness fortnight started yesterday, to make us aware of it, and thank goodness because frauds have really hotted up recently. Just in the last week I've had a scam call allegedly from the tax office and a scam text telling me I've won prizes. And don't get me
started about the dodgy emails!
So this week I've written an article for you on how to spot a pension scam - that's a particularly nasty one as they can steal thousands off you. And speaking of stealing, you remember in last week's newsletter I warned you about the Government selling your NHS data? Well they're still just giving us until June
23rd to opt-out, even though they're putting back the actual selling to September instead of July. So protect your data while you can.
One of our readers, Paul, emailed us to say "Thank you so much for the email you sent out today about NHS making available confidential medical information. I'd seen this on other sites, but you are the only one who actually directed the reader to the forms that need to be completed - the other sites just directed the reader to an almost unfathomable Govt website."
So protect your data and stay scam-aware and, if you'd like to keep really up-to-date with the latest frauds, take a look at the articles in our Rip-Off Britain section here.
