My colleague Izzy told us that there would be food shortages by Autumn 2021.
Well guess what? We weren't kidding. Of course we got some critical comments saying that we were just fear-mongering...but we weren't. We knew it was going to happen and we wanted you to be prepared. I hope you followed our advice, but if not, add some extra tins, packets and bottles of foods that you use a lot next time you're at the supermarket.

It's not just food that's going up in price now either - it's energy, as we've been hearing over the last few days. I'm talking about it a lot on radio and TV, particularly giving people advice on what to do to bring their energy bills down. First of all, of course, we need to switch to a good, fixed deal so that future price hikes don't affect us (at least for the next 12 months or so). Then it's a question of cutting down on energy use in every part of the home, particularly by insulating as many areas as possible.
