Hello from Scotland!
What a wonderful place Glasgow is. I’ve always loved it and now I’m spending a couple of days in Glasgow, on my way to an assignment on the west coast.
I’ve been checking out the shops (absolutely teeming with people) and absolutely loving the culture. My new favourite museum is the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which is a staggeringly beautiful building full of really lovely items. It’s free too!
Also free and lovely is the Kelvinbridge park which you could happily spend the day in (weather permitting). Then the 'Macintosh at the Willow' tea-rooms in the centre of town are an amazing find. If, like me, you love Rennie Macintosh design it’s a delight. It offers genuinely good food (including scones that are almost as good as mine!) in a lovingly restored venue.

It’s great to get out of town for a few days after an insanely busy week. I’ve been working on all sorts of articles and had quite a few broadcast sessions talking about the problems we’re having with gas prices.
